Sa Rata is simple and opulent at the same time. The almost square villa is located 2 km east of Búger, slightly elevated on a plot of over 24,000 m², surrounded by wide fields with the Serra de Tramuntana in the background. There is a subtropical flower garden, banana trees, shrubs and ornamental palms around the shady terrace and an XXL pool with outdoor shower, which is rarely found in this length and not only makes dolphin (swimmers) jump. An atmosphere with a hint of colonial style envelops the property; but alas, no maid descends the seven flights of stairs with tea and cake while you meet under the white, airy shade tent on a green lawn, and no industrious servant brings the fruit cocktails to your sun loungers. Only the straw parasols are available and even the little barbecue hut has a small table for you, but you still have to work the table-setting magic. Nevertheless, there is something wonderful about being able to spend your Mallorca holiday in complete privacy in this lovingly tended plant paradise.

Inside, you'll notice the traditional influences; while life takes place mainly outdoors and the garden has an abundance of plants, the rooms are more functional and low-maintenance. A few exquisite (often inherited) pieces of furniture set the tone: the spacious living area around the fireplace and TV contains antique gems such as sideboards and a secretary as well as a rustic dining table with a wonderful wood grain; the pictures on the walls and the upholstery of the armchairs are típico español. There is plenty of space here, ideal for guests travelling with children. The other rooms are also stylish; small, curved decorations give the dark wooden beds (including a double bed) and the dressers the necessary lightness; in addition to the outdoor shower, which is very practical and can also be accessed from the terrace, there are two bathrooms (one with a shower and washing machine, the other with a shower-bathtub). Sa Rata is family-friendly and uncomplicated!

Town, country and sea: Just 13 kilometres from the town of Inca, the pretty village of Búger is situated on two hills on the edge of the fertile windmill landscape of Horta de Sa Pobla. The film industry has already visited the impressive caves of Campanet on the other side of the Ma-13. The artistic town of Pollença and the famous promenade of Port de Pollença as well as the beaches and dune landscapes of Badia d'Alcúdia offer attractive access to the sea and coast; there is also plenty on offer for sturdy footwear, such as the ascent to the summit of Puig de Maria or the easy hike from Port de Pollença to the bird-rich Cala de Bóquer. It's interesting how surprisingly diverse a supposedly simple country town can be ...

The traditional Villa Sa Rata with XXL pool and dream garden is situated on a large flat plot not far from the Sierra Tramuntana. Thanks to the shops in the small village of Búger, just 2 km away, and the old town of Sa Pobla, just 4 km away, with its weekly market on Sundays, you can quickly get everything you need. The Ma-13 motorway towards Alcúdia takes you through Inca almost to your doorstep and the beaches of Pollença and Badia d'Alcúdia are less than 30 minutes away.
