Its population is about 4,000. Lychen lies between extensive forests and in the midst of an attractive lake district with connection to the public waterway to the Havel waters, the "Mecklenburg Brandenburg Lake District", as well as the North and Baltic Sea. The small border town of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which lies on the northwest edge of the Uckermark, has become a popular resort. Lychen rightly has the epithet "Märkisches Interlaken", which alludes to the exposed insularity of the place at the Lychener Seeenkreuz and the countless waters in the area. The epithet "health resort" Lychen cope, because even today clean air, the critic can confidently measure and inhale with relish. Located in the midst of this charming water and wooded area, Lychen is an ideal starting point for hiking, mushrooming, swimming, cycling and boating excursions. There are connections to the Stolpsee and the Havelwasserstraße via the Woblitz and Himmelpforter locks. South of the city is an extensive forest area that extends far beyond the Havel and Bredereiche. This area is intended to serve as nature conservation, like the northern wide forest area to Feldberg. The medieval city lies between Templin or Prenzlau and Fürstenberg or Feldberg in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Lychen is an up-and-coming spa and tourist town without industry, but is open to handicrafts and service providers.     “Wir haben eine Gute Zeit dort verbracht. Positiv: Einrichtung modern, Häuschen hell, Küchenausstattung ausreichend für einen Urlaub, gute hitze- und lichtdämmende Vorhänge, Mückengitter in den Schlafzimmern
    Das Gesamtgelände und das Seebad sind in äußerst sauberem und gepflegtem Zustand, die Betreiber sehr freundlich! Negativ: Das Gelände ist auf keinen Fall etwas für Menschen mit Gehbehinderungen!!! Es ist steil und steinig/sandig. Das ist weder erwähnt noch auf den Fotos zu sehen. Das muss erwähnt werden!
    Betten schmal und kurz, leider ohne cm-Angaben im Vorfeld, für große Menschen zu kurz, Elternbett mit ca. 165 cm sehr schmal, auf den Fotos ist das verschleiert, da sehr kleine Kopfkissen abgebildet sind.
    Blick auf den See: sehr klein, nur zwischen Bäumen sichtbar, also etwas zu positive Beschreibung! Ehrlichkeit wäre auch hier gut, um Enttäuschungen zu verhindern!
    Im Kinderschlafzimmer fehlen Leselampen.”

    “Schöne Zeit in LenzerheideDie Lage der Wohnung ist ideal, nicht direkt an der Hauptstrasse, aber mit einer Bushaltstelle für die Skishuttle. Eigentlich hab ich das Auto in der Tiefgarages für die ganze Aufenhalt gelassen. Die Wohnung is süd orientiert mit einer schönen Balkon. Sie ist gross genug für eine Familie. Die Küche and das Badezimmer sind sauber aber aus der 70s. Immer ok. Es fehlte mir eine Pfanne mit Teflon.”
